Abstract

Attending ICSE 2024 was an incredible opportunity to present our accepted paper From Boring to Boarding, Transforming Refactoring Education with Game-Based Learning. The experience allowed me to showcase an innovative approach to refactoring education, making it more engaging and accessible through interactive, game-based methods. Presenting at such a prestigious conference provided invaluable exposure, enabling me to connect with leading experts in software engineering. Networking at the conference was equally rewarding. I had the chance to meet professionals and researchers who share similar interests, leading to insightful discussions about the future of refactoring education and potential collaborations. This exchange of ideas was a catalyst for deepening my understanding of current challenges and emerging trends in the field. Overall, ICSE 2024 was a significant step forward in my academic and professional journey, offering recognition for my work and the possibility of future partnerships.
